Video Game tips

Just about one hour ago, I was playing a Playstation 2 game called Kingdom Hearts. It's a weird game. Any ways, there's a part where Sora (the main character and the guy you play as.) has to fight Riku, one of his best friends. He has succumbed to darkness and become strong and evil. Sora has to fight him alone, as Donald and Goofy are tossed out of the arena. Anyway, it is very hard to beat him, so, I am creating a guide to show you HOW TO BEAT RIKU IN THE HOLLOW BASTIEN.

Ok, number one, you must have at least these four moves equipped. One is guard. This is my favorite move. Number two, counterattack. Third is dodge roll. Fourth is Second Chance. There's another optional one, and it is Arcanum, which uses 3 mp every time you use it. I didn't use it until the end, when i really desperatly needed it. Anyways, go to the area where you fight Riku. Go through the cut scene.
"That girl has lost her heart..."
"You... You're not Riku!" Yada yada yada. Ok, so you have started to fight him. This is what I do.
First off, DO NOT TAKE THE OFFENSIVE AND ATTACK HIM DIRECTLY AT THE COST OF HEALTH. My friend did this and lost about halfway into the fight. I use an evasive technique that helps me dodge his attacks. Every time he jumps at you, don't panic. You just need to use guard. This will earn you tech points and, if you hit X at the right moment, you counterattack and you can hit him in one full round. Then, after you beat him down with that, you back away for a split second. He spins around as a defensive move, and then he attacks again.
Depending on how far you have already hit him, he may do one of two things: One, he may just jump away and jump back at you like he started to do. Two, he may hold his keyblade up and you have to hit him to get the battle flowing again. If he does the first, use Guard and then Counterattack to get him to where he does the second thing. This is where Guard comes in handy again. He puts his keyblade up eventually, and this is what you do: hit him. As soon as you hit him, back up about two steps. In the split second you do this, he says one of three things:
One: "Useless!"
Two: "Hah! You're nothing."
Or Three: "Is that it?" When he says these things, he brings his keyblade down and prepares to attack. This attack is more powerful, but still just as easy to deflect and earn those awesome tech points. He dashes at you and swings his keyblade around, trying to hit you. Hit square while standing still to use guard. He will be blocked and fly backwards. Again, hit X at the right time, and you will Counterattack. Be aware though, he doesn't just stop right there, you might have to guard again, as he might try multiple times to hit you with that. In that case, keep trying until he stops when you counterattack.
Keep in mind that using these techniques takes timing, skill, and a tiny pinch of luck. Also keep in mind that YOU WILL GET HIT IN THIS BATTLE. YOU CANNOT AVOID IT. USE HEAL WHEN YOUR HEALTH BAR IS CLOSE TO FLASHING RED. SECOND CHANCE IS IF YOU FORGET TO HEAL. REMEMBER YOU WILL GET HIT.
Ok, so you beat him down. his orange health bar is now completely gone. It's now yellow. This is where things get kind of tricky. He now uses a cheap and cowardly thing. Darkness. He charges himself up with darkness and starts to attack with that. This is where dodge roll really helps out.
When he first charges, STAY PUT. He will not attack while charging, and you cannot hurt him. The first thing he does is fire a white ring at you. DO NOT TRY TO GET TECH WITH THIS, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I TRIED. I FAILED. DON'T DO IT. Dodge roll instead. He uses that clever little dash attack too. Don't deflect that either. Dodge every attack he uses in the darkness until he leaps into the air.
I forgot to mention, he does this 3 different ways. First, when he has no darkness, he just stabs the ground like Cloud and creates a shockwave. Just jump over it. The second is the first stage of darkness. He stabs the ground and little yellow things pop out of the ground. They are easy to dodge. All you have to do is jump and glide until they run out. They cant reach you.
Ok, so you then use the strategy I said earlier. Dodge until you can guard, then attack with Counterattack. Eventually he will take darkness again and repeat the process he did before. Use the same strategy.
Now is the hardest part. It took me forever to beat this part, as I just couldn't figure out how to get rid of the darkness. This is the part where his health bar is green. he's more desperate and he needs to kill you. He pulls out every trick in the book he's got. (By the way, it's a very tiny book.) He starts to use a really crazy move that I can barely dodge. I call it: The Crazy Super Dashy Darkness Stabby Thingamajig Attack. He holds his keyblade up and starts to glow. Wait for it... wait for it!!!... There! He shoots out towards you. Jump when this happens. Now the next part, I can only say, good luck on timing. It takes pure timing to get the next part down. He shoots out of every part of the Arena. This is where you need to use Glide twice. I found out, that if you use glide the whole time to dodge this attack, he hits you, so, to keep him on the ground, you use glide to dodge him until you are halfway down. Drop and use glide again. He doesn't hit you. Just be sure that you drop in a "clean zone" as I call it. It's where Riku isn't firing out of any side.
Ok, Phew! You dodged the CSDDSTA. He now pops out of nowhere and shoots his keyblade into the ground. This creates HUGE yellow things like the ones before. For this part, I have no strategy. Though, I have found out the most times I don't get hit is when I stand still on the ground. It still gets you once and a while, but normally, I get missed.
Wow! You made it this far? I can't believe you made it! You usually die by this point. No seriously, you will die at some point fighting him. This is natural and can't be helped, just try to fight again........ back at the beginning.
So, you made it past the whole darkness phase two attack round. This is where things get easy. If you have done it right, he will have lost darkness. If he keeps it, you didn't dodge him quite enough. So, after you get rid of the darkness, all you have to do is the guard/counterattack strategy. Then, the rest is easy.
So, recap. Dodge roll, Guard, Counterattack (lots of timing goes into that one), pound his face into the ground. Ok? Do that, and you should be fine. Remember, dying is a part of video game life, that's why they made the game. Don't get mad if you die. I died. I died a grand total of.... I can't remember. I lost track somewhere between 20 to 23 times. Anyways, die. Die all you want, you will just get more experience. Also........... HEAL HEAL HEAL HEAL HEAL. I have one more piece of advice for you. Dodge roll if you are low on health. Then, just as he starts to to the CSDDSTA, he waits, use heal then and make yourself safe. Have fun!
P.S. Post if you like the guide. I'll post more on other games too! C Ya!

Some of the newer video game console and handheld hardware devices offer parents the ability to limit what type of content their children can access upon activating built-in parental control features. By activating parent controls you can ensure that your kids only play games that carry ratings you deem appropriate for them.
